THE FELT HATS + Click To Enter + The Felt Hats were conceived in the foothills of the Transylvanian plateau, next to the hot coals of a dying fire and after a bottle of local red wine. Haunted by wedding music in minor keys, the Hats grew up secure in the knowledge that pleasure and pain were two sides of the same coin. And while the old country could offer 78s of Django and Grappelli, the new world contained visions of iPods and Death Cab. So, armed with electric mandolin, viola, guitar and papis homemade cough syrup, The Felts Hats made their journey to the land of Bill Monroe and Jimi Hendrix. Today, The Felt Hats can be found in the dark corners of small pubs seducing old men to buy rounds for the young couples with long hair and no money. Tomorrow, they will catch the next train filled with rich folks eating in a fancy dining car, drinking coffee and smoking big cigars. The Felt Hats are Noah Dolan, Shane Jewel and Andre Sapp. They play and sing original songs, ancient melodies, AM radio hits and MTV favorites.
